Whatever time of year you decide to visit this stunning apartment for 9 (7 adults) in Combloux, you'll have the area's best facilities just a short walk away.
In winter, you're just 300m from the ESF ski school meeting place in the centre of the village, and in the summer, you can cool off in the fabulous Plan d'Eau - an ecological man-made lake just 500m from your door!
There are incredible hiking and biking trails in and around Combloux from challenging mountain trails to family-friendly walks taking in lakes, waterfalls and great views.
Of course there are plenty of other activities in the area - tennis, horse-riding, potholing, paragliding and via ferrata are just a few of them. And when you return to Le Primpiolet at the end of the day, you can relax with a drink on the balcony with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc!
Combloux, nicknamed the pearl of Mont Blanc, has a small supermarket, butcher, baker, pharmacy, bars and restaurants, and there are more facilities in nearby Sallanches, Megève and St Gervais. A lot of the surrounding villages have good markets, where you can buy fresh produce and local specialities.

Le Primpiolet is a penthouse apartment for 9 (7 adults), with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
When you arrive, you can take the stairs or the lift to the third floor, which is all dedicated to Le Primpiolet. The hall will take you straight in to the open-plan living area. The well-equipped kitchen is a pleasure to cook in, and the sociable island unit means that even when you are cooking, you're never far from the conversation. Enjoy your meal at the dining table by the fire, or in warmer weather you can eat out on the balcony while you enjoy the Mont Blanc view.
After dinner, get together for a chat or perhaps watch a film - this cosy seating area gets extra light from the Velux roof window. If you're not quite ready to relax, try your luck on the arcade-style games machine!
The four bedrooms are under the eaves on both sides of the living area. There are three double rooms (one has twinable beds), two of which have en suite shower rooms with WCs. One also has a desk space for those who want to work remotely during their stay. There's also a room with one single bed and one set of bunk beds, which is perfect for children, and a bathroom with a bath and a separate WC.
There is also a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and on the ground floor a ski room with heated boot dryer.
Outside, there are 2 parking spaces. A garage (max vehicle height 1.88 m) with a charging point is also available for recharging electric/hybrid cars and for storing bicycles.
About the area ...
Just 250m from the centre of Combloux, Le Primpiolet apartment is in a great location for guests who want to explore the wonderful Mont Blanc area without having to rely on their car.
Along with Megève and Saint-Gervais, Combloux is part of the Évasion Mont-Blanc ski area, which has 400km of pistes. If that's not enough, you can explore another 192km of pistes in the Espace Diamant, just a 20-minute drive away. This domaine takes in the resorts of Praz-sur-Arly, Bellecombe, Crest-Volant, Flumet, and Saisies.
Experienced skiers looking for some stunning night skiing should head for the Vallée Blanche - do hire a guide for this 23km run which, with a 2,000m drop, will take you from the Aiguille du Midi to the Mer de Glace, an almost surreal experience under a full moon.
For a change from skiing, why not try dog-sledding or snow-shoe walking, which are both available within a short drive of Le Primpiolet. For a little more adventure, why not try ice-climbing, via ferrata or paragliding!
When the snow melts, the mountains become the domain of walkers and cyclists. There's so much to see in this varied landscape - explore the Argentière glacier or perhaps the Baroque footpath, a 20km trail from Combloux to Les Contamines-Montjoie which takes you past some of the area's finest baroque buildings. Look out for marmots along the way!
Fancy a swim? The man-made ecological lake at Combloux (open June to September) is just a five-minute walk from Le Primpiolet. Relax in the pure waters fed by mountain streams or enjoy a picnic surrounded by wildflowers and stunning views of Mont Blanc. Children will love the great play area, and there's also a restaurant.
Golfers can take advantage of the great courses at Chamonix and Megève and the golf of Mont d’Arbois is only 8.5km away from the apartment.

“Even better in real life”
Le Primpiolet looks amazing in the photos but is somehow even better in real life! The whole apartment is finished to a very high standard and has plenty of well thought out storage. Due to being on the top floor headroom is limited in some places but at 5'11" I didn't have any real problem as long as I remembered to stoop down a little! On arrival we hadn't received the door codes but one quick call to the very helpful property management team resolved that.
The view of Mont Blanc from the balcony is of course a highlight - there was a crane on a nearby plot during our stay which slightly impeded the full panorama but we weren't disturbed by any noise from the construction site.
Combloux is a lovely little French town relatively untouched by tourism and is a perfect base for the Combloux and Megeve ski resorts. If you have use of a car during your stay Chamonix is only 30 minutes away. We also paid a visit to the Mont Blanc Tramway starting in Saint Gervais which is only a 15 minute drive.
All in all a fabulous stay and we will return!

The chalet is very well equipped, absolutely nothing is missing. It is well located a few meters from the shuttle to get to the snow front. The bedding is incredibly comfortable! Everything is in place for a perfect stay. We highly recommend this accommodation with our eyes closed. Not to mention this magical view of Mont Blanc.

Le Primpiolet is a penthouse apartment for 9 with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
This contemporary property takes up the whole third floor of the building, and is served by a lift, making it accessible for those with limited mobility.
It's in a great location too, just a few minutes' walk from the village centre, the ski school and in the summer, a wonderful natural swimming lake where the water is filtered by aquatic plants!
The spacious living area has doors to a sunny balcony and the kitchen has everything you need to cook for a large family. The four bedrooms are off the sides of the apartment, under the eaves.
There are three double rooms, two of which have en suite shower rooms, and a room with three single beds which is perfect for children.
You won't need your car while you're here, but there are parking spaces and a garage with room to store bikes - Combloux is a great area for cyclists. There's also a ski store on the ground floor so you won't have to cart your ski gear up to the apartment.

We are delighted to welcome you to our apartment "Le Primpiolet", which means Thyme of the Alps in the Savoyard dialect.
We're no strangers to winter sports holidays, but the Covid pandemic led us to discover just how much this beautiful mountain area has to offer in the summer.
We loved these vacations with family and friends, and found ourselves dreaming of a pied-à-terre in the mountains. We fell in love with the this project, with its incredible views dominated by Mont Blanc.
We then discovered the family-friendly village of Combloux, with its many facilities and a wide range of activities throughout the year.
The chalet is ideally located, close to the village centre, its shops and restaurants, access to the slopes, the eco swimming lake, and hiking and biking trails.
We've equipped our apartment to make sure you feel at home. You'll have everything you need for your stay, whether you're planning to get active in the mountains or just relax with friends.
